ACEM, the Association of European Motorcycle Manufacturers, and the German Road Safety Council (DVR) awarded the European Quality Seal for Training to the advanced motorbike riding course provided by the Honda Safety Institute in Barcelona in 2018.
This award recognizes the best post-license training programs in Europe to help riders identify clearly and simply the quality training programs for license holders in Europe.
Albert Cavero, Director of Communication and Head of Road Safety at Honda Motor Europe Spain, pointed out that “Riding a motorbike is much more than just riding a machine: skill level and control are important, but safety on motorbikes involves much more. That’s why at this center we don’t just teach riding techniques, but the importance of defensive riding, to anticipate and avoid risky situations”.
Honda Motor Europe’s General Director, Vito Cicchetti, commented: “Motorcycle safety is at the heart of everything Honda does, and we want to make sure that people enjoy riding safely. As a motorbike company, we, as managers, have a great responsibility when it comes to how riders use our products”.
