ABOUT US

Your age, the make of your bike, and your level of experience don’t matter, because at Honda Safety Institute we have a course for every kind of rider.

You will acquire the skills and control techniques that ensure your ride more safely in different situations and enjoy riding even more, and in an individualized way, with one instructor for every five participants.

Facilities

Based in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, a strategic point located close to the metropolitan area of Barcelona, the HIS has more than 20,000 m2 of tracks and facilities designed exclusively for training riders, making it an international benchmark in the field.

The center offers both theoretical and practical classes, which is why we have a modern building of 1,500 m2 with different classrooms designed for theoretical training, including our own Riding Simulators. We also have a training workshop, changing rooms with lockers and showers, and a garage that houses more than 60 motorbikes.

For the practical training sessions, we have three different areas:

  • An 8,000 m2 multi-purpose asphalt track.
  • An exclusive section dedicated to different braking exercises with different friction coefficient asphalts.
  • A 6,000 m2 off-road area.
Facilities

The HIS is managed by experienced instructors from the Honda Riding School (HEC), a pioneering entity created in 1992 to provide courses in Road Safety, Introduction to Riding, Improvement, and also exclusive courses for Law Enforcement and Professionals of the sector.

Honda’s Commitment

The HIS centralizes Honda Spain’s efforts to provide everything required for training users on a technological and logistical level.

As far as training is concerned, the HIS works along two basic lines with the aim of promoting safe driving.

On the one hand, risk prevention techniques, with a wide range of audiovisual material, as well as the brand’s own riding simulators; on the other hand, techniques for controlling the motorbike in different environments and circumstances, including riding in low grip conditions and open roads, among others.

The course program includes 6h, 8h, 12h and up to 16-hour courses at a reasonable fee.

The courses take place from Monday to Sunday and are open to individuals, professional groups as well as companies, providing courses in the field of occupational risk prevention.

COURSES FOR ALL KINDS OF USERS

Our efforts are focused on providing all the necessary technological and logistical resources to train our users, that’s why our centre has both classrooms for theory classes and other more practical elements, such as riding simulators and different riding tracks.

The HIS training program ranges from basic introductory riding courses aimed at less experienced users, to advanced motorbike courses for experienced riders and off-road courses for children from 6 years of age who are discovering the features of a motorbike for the first time.

Far from becoming a new line of business for Honda, we approach the issue of safety as a social responsibility.

That is why the prices of the courses given at HIS are not intended for our profit, therefore, we set the most competitive and affordable prices for the user, the real beneficiary of all this training.
